Brad Pitt gets one last chance in the driver's seat in this high-octane crowdpleaser.
Dubbed "the greatest that never was," Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was FORMULA 1's most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he's a nomadic racer-for-hire when he's approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem) convinces Sonny to join his struggling FORMULA 1 team as a mentor to a hotshot rookie (Damson Idris).
An unabashed crowdpleaser, this slick sports movie layers in just about every trope of the genre—stubborn superstars learning to work as a team, underdogs clawing their way out of last place, business intrigue, "one last job" for a veteran who still has something to prove. Shot during actual Grand Prix weekends, the racing sequences are a white-knuckle cinematic thrill ride on the big screen.
