School Matinées are back this upcoming season. Stay tuned for updates!
The Hop believes that the arts are essential to young people's hearts and minds. That's why school-aged youth can experience live performances for just $6 per ticket.
Going to the theater is more than just a fun field trip; it's an opportunity for students to think critically and creatively about works of art and to make connections with their academic studies and personal lives. A live performance ignites a young person's imagination, helps them make meaning of the world, and develop a lifelong love of the arts.
Our School Matinées support students' access to the arts by offering schools and registered homeschool families affordable tickets to dynamic and diverse music, theater, and dance performances. After the performance, students have an opportunity to ask the artists questions in an interactive Q&A; we love hearing the curious and insightful questions they come up with! Each performance is paired with a study guide that includes discussion questions and learning activities tailored to school curriculum standards.
We hope you'll join us in connecting students with powerful and joyful learning experiences through the arts.
