Craft Cocktails with DBR

July 01, 2020

This event occurred as part of the 20/21 Member Event season. This is an archived view.

Enjoy free cocktails and conversation with violinist, activist and Dartmouth Roth Distinguished Visiting Scholar, Daniel Bernard Roumain.

2020/21 Hop@Home

Hop members at the Investor level and above are invited to a virtual cocktail party with Daniel Bernard Roumain and Hop director, Mary Lou Aleskie. Daniel is known for his signature violin sounds infused with electronic, urban and African-American music influences. He has composed chamber, orchestral and operatic works and created large scale musical events for public spaces. He is also an Emmy winner for Outstanding Musical Composition for his collaborations with ESPN.

Afterwards, join us for the first Hop@Home episode of "Who We Are with DBR," hosted by Daniel. He'll bring together inspiring Black artist-activists to discuss their work and share a short collaborative performance. Our first episode features Black Violin (Kevin Sylvester and Wilner Baptist), a classical and hip-hop music duo.

In partnership with our friends at Wolf Tree in White River Junction, pre-order your to-go cocktails on us, and pick up on Wednesday afternoon before joining us on Zoom! We highly recommend "Justice Allows Growth," with proceeds benefiting JAG Productions.
