Learn the fundamentals of ballet with Dance Theatre of Harlem.

2020/21 Hop@Home

DTH company member Derek Brockington teaches this virtual beginner's-level class focusing on classical ballet barre exercises. Get ready to tone, strengthen and increase your flexibility. Please find an open space at home and wear comfortable clothing! No prior dance experience required. Ages 12+

Cost

$8 for the public; $5 for Dartmouth faculty and staff; free for Dartmouth students.

About Derek Brockington

Derek was born in Chicago, IL and trained at the Grand Rapids Ballet School, Interlochen Arts Academy, Ballet West and Pennsylvania Ballet Summer Intensives. He is currently in his second season with Dance Theatre of Harlem and has performed with the Cincinnati Ballet and Grand Rapids Ballet. Repertoire includes works by George Balanchine, Anabelle Lopez Ochoa and Kirk Peterson.
